- THANK YOU! to everyone who has generously supported the Lenten Soup Suppers this year, with donations of food and help. The turnout increases each year; and 2013 was no exception. We enjoyed a wide variety of soups and sandwiches … and desserts seemed to magically appear (and then disappear)!
- WOMEN’S BOOK STUDY is being coordinated by Monica S. and Caroline H.. The book chosen at the 2/05/13 meeting is If You Want to Walk on Water, You Need to Get Out of the Boat, by John Ortberg {Zondervan, 2001}. Each participant is responsible for purchasing their copy of the book; many used copies are available in local stores or on-line. The next meeting is Tuesday 4/02/13 at 7:00 pm. All women are invited to participate!
- “CALLED TO RESPOND” is the theme of the 25th Annual Convention for the Women of the St Paul Area Synod, to be held April 12-13, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Church (104 Snelling Ave S, St Paul 55105; 651-699-5560). Women of Hope’s delegate for the business meetings is Linda S. Thank you, Linda!
- EAST CENTRAL CLUSTER SPRING MEETING will be held the evening of Thursday 4/25/13, starting with registration at 6:00 pm. Copies of the meeting flyer and the shopping list (collecting baby items for donation to Tubman Center) are at the Welcome Center. We’ll carpool, so watch for a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center.
- THANK YOU! for the ongoing commitment and donations to hospitality-related activities such as funeral receptions and First Communion training sessions. Ensuring the kitchen and Fellowship Hall are cleaned up and put back to “apple pie order” is much appreciated, too. Judy K. and Bev B. lead our hospitality efforts for Women of Hope, so let them know about your availability. God bless you for all you do for others!
