Commitment Sunday will take place on November 10, 2013 during both services. I would like to personally invite and encourage every member to attend this day. We will once again have guest preacher, Rev. Karen Soli who will be bringing Deuteronomy Duck for a special children’s message. The purpose of this day will be to make a commitment for both our general budget for 2014 helping our Church Council plan for ministry in 2014. And, to make a commitment from what God has blessed you to help raise the Faith Forward funds needed to enhance and care for our wonderful House of Prayer facility.
Enhancements will include: Insulating and replacing our roof. Improving the sound, lighting and visual technology in the sanctuary so that people can better see and hear in worship. Replacing flooring, updating our restrooms, retiring debt from the 1999 building expansion and other minor repairs. This will improve our facilities so that we can continue to do ministry well into the future. We will collect commitments during both of our worship services. We will then gather for a time of food and fellowship at 12:00 noon following the second service. We will be serving a full “Thanksgiving” dinner complete with turkey and mashed potatoes. During the meal, Faith Forward ministry team members will tabulate the commitment cards presented in worship and report on the totals toward meeting our goal. This is an important time to participate.
