Pastor Annie Langseth
Annie Langseth is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul and a Rostered Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Her first call brought her home to the prairies of western North Dakota, where she served as pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison. She then returned to the Twin Cities to explore spiritual care and retreat ministry, before being called to join House of Prayer Lutheran Church in mission and ministry in March of 2024.
Reminding people of their absolute belovedness in Christ is the joy of her life, and proclaiming God’s promise to bring life out of death is the heart of her calling.
Beyond her “professional church nerd” status, Pastor Annie enjoys creative outlets. She dabbles in poetry, doodles and paints, fiddles with graphic design, and snaps entirely too many pictures. Her favorite people call her auntie; she never turns down a brunch invite if she can help it; and tree-lined lakes make up her “spiritual geography.” If talent didn’t matter and God had not called her to pastoral ministry, she would be living out her childhood dream of playing professional basketball…and she would be able to dunk.
Pastor Annie is a resident of South Minneapolis, where she lives with numerous houseplants (all of which are named) and her “assisting minister,” Hammie, the “goodest” Dachshund there ever was. She is grateful to walk the road of faith with the people of House of Prayer, and would be delighted to get to know you! If you’d like to schedule a visit, please contact us.
