The Stewardship Ministry Team continues to work on plans to help our congregation grow spiritually as well as to ensure there are adequate talent and funds to cover the ministry of our church.
Plans are in progress for our Fall Time, Talent and Treasure Pledge Campaign. These plans include special Ministry Moments during our worship services this fall. We also plan to celebrate on Commitment Sunday in November with a special “Thanks-for-Giving” meal. This will take place the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving.
Beginning this fall, our congregation has been invited to participate in an eighteen month “Mission Renewal Program” with other churches from the Saint Paul Synod. This program will help us assess and discern what God’s focus and plan for ministry for House of Prayer in the future.
Because we still will need to repair and renew our building for the future the need for a Capital Fund Drive is becoming apparent. The Stewardship Team is considering a number of Campaign leadership options. The most promising is the ELCA Program “Stewardship Key Leader” program.
