Bible Study Opportunities

Please join the Sunday morning (during the Faith Matters time) study during Lent entitled “Making Sense of the Cross.”  The study is from the Book of Faith series.  The sessions will be led by Pastor Dan and/or Ron B.  We meet in the fellowship hall at 9:40 a.m. Bring your Bible and join us!

Each Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. a group gathers in the fellowship hall to spend time with the Scripture passages which will be used in worship on the following Sunday.  There is no preparation necessary.  We simply let the Biblical words draw us into reflection and conversation.  The coffee is always on.  Why don’t you give it a try!

This year’s Bible study in Gather is “To Follow and To Serve: The Gospel of Mark.” The study emphasizes what it means to follow Jesus Christ today. We are called to a living faith, a deeper and more courageous understanding of what it means to follow the one we first meet in Mark’s gospel at his baptism at the River Jordan. Watch Hope & Happenings for dates of future sessions.  Copies of the Bible Study materials will be available at the Welcome Center. To order Gather, call 1-800-328-4648 (10 issues for $12).

Do you have a topic you would like to share or explore?  Do you want more information on a particular book of the Bible?  Would you like a Bible Study that met at a different location?  Are you interested in a Bible study at a coffee shop?  If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, please speak to Ron B. or Pastor Dan (651) 777-1607.
