Youth News and Opportunities

Our “winter” retreat has been rescheduled for May 3-4. This is open for all youth in grades 7-12 to attend and learn more about worship and prayer. We will be staying overnight, Friday Night, at Luther Point Bible Camp in Grantsburg, WI. We will be able to have a weekend of learning more about our faith as well as being able to play games, horseshoes and maybe even kick a ball around. Please keep our youth and chaperones in your prayers over this weekend for safe travels, good health, good weather, and that they deepen their understanding of the importance of worship. Reminder to youth and parents/guardians to be at church at 5 pm on Friday, May 3 for departure.  Also, parents/guardians should be at House Of Prayer by 9 pm on Saturday, May 4 to pick up your young people.  If you have questions or are in need of a Scholarship, please contact Corey or Pastor Dan.

Summer Blast (Believers Learning and Serving Together) is a chance for 6th – 9th graders from area churches to join together.  The goal is to do community service projects in the morning and then have fun together in the afternoon.  July 8-12 is the week to participate.  We will be partnering with the youth from Redeemer Lutheran Church of White Bear Lake. Then we will join several other area churches for work and play.  The cost is $110 per person for the week or $145 total if you also go to Valleyfair with the group on July 24.  More details? Contact Corey or Pastor Dan.

Check this out if you and your family are interested in trying something new.  This is a short term mission opportunity in Duluth on July 18-21 OR July 21-24.  Cost is $99 per person.  If you want more information about this please contact Corey or Pastor Dan.
