Women of Hope – July 2013

WOMEN is the 2013-2014 Bible study through
Gather, a publication of Women of the ELCA
(WELCA). The study’s author is Kay Ward, a bishop
in The Moravian Church. AN INTRODUCTION TO
THE STUDY will be held at St Mark’s Lutheran
Church (2499 N Helen St, North St Paul) on Saturday
9/28/13 (9:00 am-3:00 pm). The cost is $15; the

Registration and payment is due 9/25/13; registration
forms are available at the Welcome Center. For more
information about this Bible study and Gather:

held Thursday 10/24/13 (registration @ 6:00 pm) at
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church [1616 W Olive St,
Stillwater; 651-439-5704]. The speaker for the
program will be Colleen Moran Baldrica, author of
Tree Spirited Woman, a story of spiritual awakening
and life enrichment {Beaver’s Pond Press, 2006}.
Besides publishing awards, this book was a selected
item for the gift bags at the 2013 Oscars. Ms. Baldrica
is an official Chippewa (Ojibwe) Tribe member of the
Pembina Band from the White Earth Reservation in
Northern Minnesota. She has worked for more than
20 years in public education and holds advanced
degrees with an emphasis in School Counseling.

funeral receptions. Ensuring the kitchen and
Fellowship Hall are cleaned up and returned to “apple
