“Cheers” to the New Year

During the month of January the Social Ministry Committee is organizing a PENCIL DRIVE to support Cheerful Givers.  Cheerful Givers is a non-profit organization that provides toy-filled birthday gift bags to area food shelves and shelters so that parents living in poverty can give their child a birthday gift.  We are collecting new pencils, small pencil sharpeners, erasers and crayons (hint: The dollar stores have colorful/cute pencils).  Watch for a collection container in the church entryway.  More information on Cheerful Givers can be found at cheerfulgivers.org.  Bring a smile to a child’s face in 2012.
